Ours is a homely hotel that is environmentally friendly in every way. It celebrates nature and all things natural as it sits atop a breezy hill, ensconced in lush greenery, in the island’s Hill Capital of Kandy. Whilst this city used to be called Kande before British colonization, it also means hill in Sinhala. This inspired our name and our logo. Our hotel harmoniously blends traditional crafts and lifestyles with modern comforts. What makes Kande truly unique however, is its building materials, most of which are recycled. Its bricks, windows, doors, and main chandelier are created out of materials that have been sourced, whilst its furniture consists of antiques and discarded pieces which have been lovingly restored and infused with new life.
